The National Theater will open its doors to flamenco art with “Contrapunto,” the latest work by dancer Karime Amaya. During the evening, the audience will enjoy a journey through the deepest styles of flamenco. It will be a powerful and elegant performance.

In addition, the show will offer a dynamic conversation between singing, guitar, and dance. Each element becomes a voice that dialogues without competing, creating harmony.

Karime Amaya premiered this production at the Jerez Flamenco Festival, where it received praise for the intensity of her performance. “We want to share the essence of pure flamenco,” she stated.

    Experience culture at its finest

The dancer also emphasized the importance of bringing this art form to the country. “Costa Rica will have a unique performance, an unrepeatable opportunity to experience our culture at its finest,” she stated.

The show will feature renowned guest artists. Among them are Miguel “El Rubio” on dance, David Sánchez “El Galli,” and Miguel El Lavi on vocals. Also performing will be Luis Santiago “Tati Amaya” on guitar and José Córdoba “El Mosquito” on percussion, who will bring energy and tradition to the performance.

Karime, for her part, is internationally recognized as the great-niece of the legendary flamenco dancer Carmen Amaya. Her artistic lineage connects her with the history of flamenco.

The artist has shared the stage with figures such as Joaquín Cortés, Antonio Canales, and Farruquito. She has also collaborated with musicians such as Rubén Blades and Diego el Cigala.

On this occasion, Costa Rica will witness her artistic evolution. International critics have described her as a performer capable of uniting tradition and modernity on stage.

    Take note:

Tickets will be available at eticket.cr. Prices start at ₡25,000 and can be purchased with a three-month Zero Rate. There will be a single performance on October 10th, at 8:00 p.m.
