    Program To Award 60 Software Development Scholarships To Young People In Homeless and Puntarenas

    Forward Costa Rica, a social program promoted by Garnier & Garnier Real Estate Developments, announces the opening of its 2026 call for applications for 60 scholarships in Full Stack software development.

    These scholarships are aimed at young people between the ages of 17 and 35 from the communities of Chacarita, in Puntarenas, and San Rafael Abajo in Desamparados.

    The training will be provided in person and free of charge starting on January 12, 2026, in partnership with the El Huerto Development Association (Puntarenas) and the Iglesia de la Ciudad (Desamparados).

    The six-month full-time program will train participants in:

    • Programming

    • Soft skills

    • Leadership

    • Employability

    They will also receive personalized support from expert coaches and mentors. The scholarship includes the use of technological equipment and access to a network of companies that promote the hiring of young talent.

    “At Forward, we believe in the transformative power of education to provide opportunities for talented young people in vulnerable situations.

    This course not only provides cutting-edge technical skills, but also cultivates the entrepreneurial spirit and civic awareness necessary to face the challenges of the digital world,” explained Roberto Solano, CEO of Forward Costa Rica.

    How to apply for one of these scholarships?

    Interested individuals must meet the following requirements:

    • Be between 17 and 35 years old

    • Have completed high school

    • Be available full-time (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)

    • Have basic computer skills (desirable).

    Registration is open until November 12, 2025, on the official website www.fwdcostarica.com. The process includes an in-person visit, interview, technical tests, and an induction.

    Forward Costa Rica has trained more than 1,000 young people, resulting in an 85% job placement rate and 40% female participation in technology programs.
